A 59 year old veteran of the United States Army, David works with the Veterans Upward Bound program at Kentucky University. This program provides refresher classes, both remedial and developmental, at the high school level, to prepare eligible veterans for postsecondary school. The program also provides financial aid and career advising for veterans. Unfortunately, Budget cuts have left the University, and the VUB program, with little funding and David has experienced a cut in his income. Between his student loan debt and standard living expenses, David is left with negligible funds to put towards groceries and transportation. With your help, David can become financially stable again and continue to help other veterans do the same.
